Ashley
I am a wife, a mom and a career driven individual who resides in the beautiful, bluegrass state of Kentucky. Although born and raised in Vermont, I moved to Kentucky in 2011 and have never regretted the move both personally and professionally. I live on a 30-acre horse farm with my husband, Brian, and my two young daughters. We have a menagerie of animals, including chickens, a horse and dogs.
As a professional, I have over a decade of experience in customer relationship building and project management. Throughout my career I have focused on what drives people, both in my customer base and the teams that I have had the privilege to lead. I put my B.S. Animal Science degree from the University of Vermont into action as Director of Sales Operations at SmartPak Equine where I like to say I grew up as it pertains to all things business. Through that experience I led a variety of teams, built lifetime customer relationships, worked in an office and remotely, traveled, tested, failed and learned a lot about my work-self. Currently I serve as Director of Customer Operations at Florida Tile in Lexington, KY, where I have built upon my retail skills from SmartPak as I focus on B2B, manufacturing, and both domestic and international business development.
One of my personal values is to never stop learning. I went back to school after several years in the workforce and completed my MBA and have challenged myself with countless webinars, seminars and workshops over the years. It is important to me to give back as a coach now, therefore the Zenie Foundation is the perfect way to help foster that same passion for learning and becoming a productive, value-driven adult through others. My favorite part about coaching is the “lightbulb” moment when something really clicks for a student (not just academically) and I feel as though I really made a difference in the outcome of their future, however small that may be.
In my down time, I am a competitive equestrian, volunteer any chance that I get, and I love to bake (my apple pie is my specialty). I am thrilled to be a Zenie Foundation coach!
