What is something you love about your school?
Something I enjoy about the University of Pennsylvania is its city location which gives the campus an open feel, and makes college life seem open to opportunities beyond Penn and into the city of Philadelphia.

How did you choose your major?
I chose Health and Societies because I am interested in how healthcare policy impacts people in today’s world, especially marginalized groups in society. I look forward to learning about ways to improve upon the system to make healthcare more accessible to all individuals.

What is your relationship with your ZF coach like/In what ways have they helped you?
My ZF coaches and I both have a relationship with the city of Philadelphia which is great! Additionally, the Brackens have offered nothing but encouragement throughout this whole transition, and have made themselves available for whatever I may need in the process, which is much appreciated.

What hobbies/extracurriculars/other interests do you have?
My main hobby is writing. I enjoy journaling or writing short stories, and most recently songs. On campus I am currently involved with the Podcast club here at Penn, where I have given 30 second segments of the news week at Penn, and I am also a member of the Penn Catholic Newman Center which fosters conversation on faith and service.

Why did you apply to ZF/what drew you to this organization?
I was drawn to apply to ZF because it’s dedicated to me remaining responsible for my finances while in college, and holds me accountable to looking toward future plans and doing the groundwork now.

Tell us something you are excited about!
I am excited to apply for clubs in the Spring of 2025. Specifically, a shelter outreach club at Penn that gives houseless people medical care and advice.

Tell us about a time you made yourself proud.
In the beginning of the year I tried out for the Glee Club and the Singer Songwriters club, although I did not have the best voice. I didn’t get into either, but I was proud of myself for putting myself out there, and it made it easier to try out for other activities afterward.

Tell us about some of your career aspirations. It’s totally ok if you aren’t sure yet! This can be as specific or as general as you want.
Currently, I would like to open up healthcare clinics that will aid in making care more accessible, possibly in rural PA. I am also interested in being involved in public policy, which could also be related to healthcare.
