What is something you love about your school?
I love that Simmons is a small school, but is located in the center of Boston. It's the best of both worlds!

How/why did you choose your major?
I chose nursing as my major because I want to do something impactful in my life. Nursing combines my two passions of health sciences and helping people. The idea of being able to have an impact on someone's life, even if it is small, means so much to me. I aspire to make healthcare more accessible and equitable for all people. My passion for nursing is a key part of my life, and I know it will only grow stronger during my years at Simmons.

What is your relationship with your ZF coach like/in what ways have they helped you?
Katherine has become a pivotal part of my life. Having someone whose role is to help guide you educationally, financially, and socially who isn't my direct parent has been such a blessing. She has steered me in the right direction while also supporting me in making my own decisions. This has given me more confidence in what I want to do and the path I will take to get there.

What hobbies/extracurriculars/other interests do you have? Tell us about them! Why are they your passions and how did you get involved?
I am currently the event coordinator for Simmons University Dance Company. I have been in this organization since my first semester freshman year and it's been a great way to integrate my love for dance into my education.

Tell us something you are excited about!
This year I get to start focusing my nursing classes on what I want to do in the future. This will allow me to dive into what I am passionate about, and explore what fields I may want to work in. I'm excited to move away from learning the basics and focus my time on topics that interest me!

Tell us about some of your career aspirations. It’s totally ok if you aren’t sure yet! This can be as specific or as general as you want.
Though I am still exploring what I might want to do in the future, my current plan is to be a holistic midwife. Another dream of mine is to go into the peace corps with a background as a nurse!

What is a saying that you live by?
"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressors."
-Desmond Tutu
