Hello, I am Roy. I am a graduate of Antioch College and Michigan State University. Going to college and graduate school taught me how to think about the world around me and find a productive and satisfying way to contribute. My journey has taken me from research think tanks in Washington D.C. to starting a professional rock-n-roll band in Portland, Maine to the present. I created and manage a cross-peer mentoring program for high school and middle school students in a Maine public school system. A common thread woven through my life is a love of learning and striving to be a person of good character no matter what the endeavor.
I love working with younger people as they learn and teach me new ideas of how the world can be a better place. Being an advisor for the Zenie Foundation is a rewarding and exciting opportunity to work with young students as they begin the wonderful time of discovery that is college - the launching pad of learning for the rest of your/their lives. There are no wrong turns or bad decisions. Education is becoming who you are. I am honored to coach ZF students and serve as an advisor to the Zenie Foundation.
