How did you choose your major?
I chose it because I realized that medicine wasn't a fit for me, since I wouldn't be able to handle patients, but I wanted to stay in the medical field.

What is your relationship with your ZF coach like?
It is amazing, Roy gave 100% of himself for me to be able to reach my dreams and I will forever be thankful.

Tell us about a time you made yourself proud.
When I was able to take a plane for the first time by myself, for a long distance from Burundi to America.

What hobbies/extracurriculars do you have?
Writing and reading are my favorite things to do. For writing I was part of the Telling Room’s Young Writers & Leaders program where I published my story in a book that recently came out.

Tell us about some of your career aspirations.
I want to become an engineer and be part of a team that will not only bring answers to scientific questions but hope to patients that depend on inventions to make their life easier.

Do you have a favorite quote?
“When life gives you lemonade, make lemons. Life will be all like whaaat?”

Who is a role model for you?
My parents. At first, I would have said my father because he is a successful man that served his country and was always there to set a good example for me and my sisters, but now I want to include my mother because she provided the emotional and physical support that all her children needed. I saw both my parents handle all the pain to support me and my sisters so that's why I aspire to be a human like them.
