  • School: Syracuse University, Class of 2027
  • Majoring in: Architecture (5-year program)
  • Coach: Katherine Chatterjee

How/why did you choose your major?
I chose Architecture because I have always had an interest in design. My grandfather was an architect in the Syracuse area and my maternal extended family are also in various design fields. I am excited to explore this major more and develop my own designs.

Who is a role model for you?
My godmother is a role model for me because she is always looking to expand her knowledge. She always reminds me to take time for self care and emphasizes the importance of mental health. She makes me laugh and I really enjoy being her goddaughter!

What hobbies/extracurriculars do you have?
I enjoy dancing! I have danced at Casco Bay Movers for 15 years and Portland Youth Dance for 6 years. I enjoy moving my body and dancing with others!

Tell us about some of your career aspirations!
I aspire to be a licensed architect. This requires a 5-year professional bachelor's degree, over 3000 hours of apprenticeship and passing the licensing exam.

What is a saying you live by?
“Decide what to be and go be it” - Avett Brothers

During this time of transition into college, I have felt that this quote is a good reminder to just go for it!
