What is something you love about your school?
The inclusiveness and kindness of the faculty and staff and my amazing advisor. I met her in her class on zoom my first semester then she became my advisor when we met in person and she’s been great for me.
How/why did you choose your major?
I was originally a hospitality management major for two years, but then realized media studies was my true calling. Then this past spring in 2024 my radio professor told us about the new certificate in content creation and I only had to take one extra class and it counted for both my degree and the certificate.
What is your relationship with your ZF coach like/in what ways have they helped you?
Coach Tim is a good family friend of mine we always see each other fishing on the canal and he told me to apply my senior year and I got it.
What hobbies/extracurriculars/other interests do you have?
I am an artist. I love to create various types of art with various mediums. I am a huge fan of The Beatles, Marvel, Pixar, the Red Sox and Celtics. I am a collector of books, movies, and Beatles stuff. I am very involved at college and at my church I am also training for a 5K in September and will be doing another one in October hopefully to get back into shape.
Tell us about something you are excited about! This can be anything: an upcoming study abroad trip, an internship or fellowship, a new position in your club, etc.
I am excited to finish my associates degree in spring of 2025 after taking four years to finish and be able to finish in four years is very impressive considering I switched majors halfway.
Tell us about a time you made yourself proud.
When I was the student leader in creating the very first autism awareness/acceptance day student panel event this past spring on April 2nd which had been a dream of mine for a few years - and it finally happened. It was very successful with standing room only. I’m looking forward to it happening again next spring in my last semester. I also had very great support from 2 staff members at 4C’s who took on helping me chair the event.
Tell us about some of your career aspirations. It’s totally ok if you aren’t sure yet! This can be as specific or as general as you want.
I am hoping to get some type of career with something with online communications, Radio, or something with media. I will figure it out in the coming months while I prepare to transfer for a bachelor's degree.
