Hello, I’m Sarah Leonard (she/her), Executive Director for the Zenie Foundation and Manager of our scholarship program. I am a graduate of UMASS, Amherst, with a degree in Sociology. I live in Portland, Maine with my husband and sassy cat. Our two sons are recent engineering graduates (MS Biomedical; BS Mechanical). My past work includes: digital media and marketing communications in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Maine; the non-profit Maine Humanities Council; and the Portland Public Schools.
I’ve always had a connection to education through volunteering in my kids’ classrooms for many years, working in the Portland Public Schools as an Ed Tech and Tutor, and consulting with the Portland Education Foundation.
