Hello, I’m Sarah Leonard (she/her), Executive Director for the Zenie Foundation and Manager of our scholarship program. I am a graduate of UMASS, Amherst, with a degree in Sociology. I live in Portland, Maine with my husband, our sweet black lab and sassy cat. We have two sons in college. My past work includes: digital media and marketing communications in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Maine; the non-profit Maine Humanities Council; and the Portland Public Schools.
I’ve always had a connection to education through volunteering in my kids’ pre-k, elementary, and middle school classrooms for many years, working in the Portland Public Schools as an Ed Tech and Tutor, and consulting with the Portland Education Foundation.
